How are amateur teams flighted?
Two-person teams are flighted based on their combined handicap. Once flights are established, no handicap strokes are given — you compete straight up inside your flight.
Do I need a partner to play Best Ball?
No. You can register as a single and we'll assign you a partner from the pool of other solo sign-ups. You'll be paired up before tee times are released.
What happens if weather cancels an event?
Some tournaments have designated rain dates. If an event cannot be completed due to weather, participants receive a credit toward a future Smoky Mountain Golf Tour event.
Can I sign up for skins and side games?
Yes. Optional cash games — individual skins, team skins and other side competitions — are available on-site at the tournament registration area. Bring cash or an active Venmo account.
When do I find out my tee time?
Starting times and pairings are released the day before each event.
